Srey Lin
Age: 16
Birthday: September 9
Srey Lin is the older sister to Srey Dah (who is also at the LIFE Center). Her parents got divorced and left her and her sister with their Grandmother. She has not seen her parents since the divorce. Her Grandmother is very poor. Srey Lin and Srey Dah would collect trash for money and would even sleep on the trash cart some nights. Her aging Grandmother realized she could no longer care for the two girls. When she heard there was a place her two granddaughters to go, she chose to give them a better life and brought them to the LIFE Center. Srey Lin has been very positive through the whole experience and has hopes of becoming a doctor one day.
Srey Pom
Age: 16
Birthday: January 9
Srey Pom is the older sister of Srey Touch (who also lives at the LIFE Center). Her father died and her mother needed help making money. So, Srey Pom moved in with her Aunt and Uncle as a servant. Her Uncle treated her very badly and beat her often. She slept on garbage piles most nights and ate from the garbage as well. Her Uncle was planning on selling her as a "taxi girl" or prostitute. Srey Pom's Aunt found out about the LIFE Center and sent her here to live safely. Later, her sister, Srey Touch, joined her at the LIFE Center. Like most teenage girls, Srey Pom likes shopping for shoes and clothes. She aspires to be a cook, wife, and mother one day.
