Grace Episcopal…”Small School with a Big Heart
In the spring of 2003 the 4th and 5th grade classes at Grace listened to a “Guide Post” story about a young boy who had raised money for a well in Africa. Their response was immediate and heart-felt. They wanted to know if we could do something like that, too. Within a couple of weeks the “Water for Life” project was underway at Grace School. That Spring, we’d been able to raise more than enough for one well. Mission accomplished! But that was not enough for the Grace students. Their response was, “can we do it again?” Seven years later we’ve been able to raise enough for 15 wells and still counting. With rummage sales, concerts, saving Box tops, a Water for Life store and donations from many wonderful people!
