Mission Feeding seeks to actively demonstrate God's love by providing food for children who are caught in one of life’s most desperate situations. For most of the children in our feeding lines, the food they receive is their only meal of the day. This food preserves their physical life - every nutritious bowl of soup boosts their immune systems, helping their bodies to grow stronger and to fight off hunger-related diseases- and gives us the privilege of sharing Spiritual life with them through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
With the means to fight the physical and emotional devastation of malnutrition, Mission Feeding moves into areas of severe drought, bringing hope to desperate people. Through this encounter, the hungry children encounter not only the miracle of food, but also the miraculous power of God's love.
Through simple bowls of soup, we are showing God's love to them and impacting villages across Africa, South America and Asia with the Gospel. Like Jesus, we don't want to merely tell people about God's goodness – we want to show them. A bowl of soup represents a clear and powerful demonstration of Jesus' love in a way the children can understand and appreciate. They will always remember that Christians, in the name of Jesus, helped them in word and deed.
Mission Feeding began over thirty years ago by feeding 5,000 children. Now, through God's provision, we are able to feed 500,000! However, the need is still great, and we believe that even greater things are possible. Every single life is important to God. Together, with God's help, we can love more, feed more, and save more lives.
