Dear Pastor,
I am writing to ask you to join us on the mountain this summer as we seek a time of refreshing in the presence of the Lord. Betty and I believe that the local church offers the only hope for personal and national freedom. As pastors, you are a key factor pointing people to liberating truth. This is why we are inviting ministers and their wives to spend special time with us…literally on the mountaintop.
Last summer, we spent time with several pastors and their wives sharing insights God has given us in nearly 50 years of ministry and marriage. They all expressed that their lives had been impacted forever. Each of us experienced the manifold presence of God in transforming power.
While in Colorado, we will get together in the morning and evenings, and you will have free time during the day. We will meet in Silverthorne, located about 60 miles west of Denver. The low-humidity, cool mountain air is a great break from typical summer heat. During the six years Betty and I have visited there, the temperature ranges from 48 to the low 70s. It is a great summer destination for those who want to golf, go river rafting, hike, shop, do some sight-seeing, etc. There are nearby historic mountain towns like Frisco and ski areas such as Keystone, Breckenridge and Vail with unique shopping and outlet malls within walking distance to hotels. You may wish to take additional rest time on either side of the conference.
“Meet Me on the Mountain” is what I hear God saying. Please mark your calendar for July 27-29 (Tuesday through Thursday). You can fly into Denver and either rent a car or catch the shuttle (Colorado Mountain Express/www.ridecme.org) that runs to Silverthorne and the surrounding area. Modest summer rates are available at nearby hotels and condos. Please contact us for details about special pricing.
We are asking for a $100 deposit per couple. The deposit will be refunded at the event or applied to lodging expenses. We will be honored if you spend this time with us and other ministers from across the country. May God bless you today as you continue to share His love and life.
