The Garden of God
In this powerful teaching from Isaiah 58 we find God’s people described as a well-watered garden and an ever-flowing spring (v.11 NLT). James proclaims, “My commitment is to be exactly that- to live in the fullness and beauty of what God has called me to do, to help awaken the church and the nation to the absolute necessity of returning to God’s truth with our whole heart.” God wants to show you how you can be a beautiful, fruitful garden, flourishing in life and in His plan for you. This is a strong word for every believer, a call to examine our hearts and uproot, with God’s help, the “weeds” keeping us from reflecting His glory, mercy and grace to a dying world.
